Homemade Shrimp Paste Recipe


  • 200 grams Salted Shrimp Paste
  • 200 grams pork bellysliced thinly
  • 3 tbsp Cooking Oil
  • 2 tbsp garlic minced
  • 1 large Onion minced
  • 2 tbsp Vinegar
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 large Chili Pepper

Cooking Instruction:

  1. Heat half cup of water in a non-stick pan, Add the pork slices. Let it simmer until the water evaporates. Cook the pork until the color turn to light brown. Put aside.
  2. In the same pan, pour cooking oil. Saute the garlic and onions, mix with the pork. Add the shrimp paste, vinegar, sugar and chili pepper. In a low heat, let it simmer for 5 to 8 minutes. Turn off the heat and let it cool down to room temperature then transfer to a wide-mouth bottle for easy access when needed. There you have it. Enjoy and share!
