How to Make Carbonara Sauce

The ingredients are simple—just spaghetti (or another long pasta), and the carbonara is made with pancetta or bacon, eggs, Parmesan, a little olive oil, salt and pepper.

The silky carbonara sauce is created when the beaten eggs are tossed with the hot pasta and a little fat from the pancetta or bacon.

Did I already mention indulgent? Yes, this is not a make-it-everyday recipe. This is an I’ve-been-eating-my-kale-for-weeks-and-now-I-want-to-splurge recipe.

But heck, if you are going to splurge, you may as well do it right with pasta carbonara.

  • 2 pack Nestle Cream
  • 1 cup Fresh milk
  • 1 can mushroom
  • 1 pack Parmesan cheese
  • 200 grams slice Bacon
  • 200 grams slice Ham
  • White onion
  • Fresh Basil leaves
  • Butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp. Salt and pepper
  • 1 Egg

  1. Sauté the bacon in margarine until golden brown.
  2. Add the slice ham and onion. Stir well
  3. Add the slice mushroom and sauté until cook.
  4. Add the slice basil leaves and stir.
  5. Add the slice mushroom and continues stir.
  6. Add the 1 cup fresh milk and nestle cream and mix it well.
  7. Don’t let it boil so it will not break the creamy texture.
  8. Add the egg yolk only and thickened with parmesan cheese. And stir until to cook.
  9. Enjoy the carbonara sauce with your favorite pasta.
