Pako Salad Recipe

Also known as fiddlehead fern, pako when fresh and crunchy is delicious especially in a fresh salad. With just tomato and salted eggs and a drizzling of vinaigrette, you can make it yourself. Though pako is not always present in the market, it remains at its cheap cost. This dish is easy to do yet savory. Today’s generation might not be so familiar to it, thus it is important that kids experience this healthy, green salad. Plus, it requires only few ingredients you sure have stack on your kitchen. Ingredients:

  • 1 bundle of fiddle fern (Pako)
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 1 salted egg
For the dressing:
  • 1/2 cup suka puti
  • 3 tbsps sugar
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsps olive oil

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Mix the four ingredients.
  2. Shake the dressing in a bottle and drizzle on the pako.
